Isabelle paced in the hospital wing, muttering unintelligible words under her breath. She should have gotten that Healer job a St. Mungo's, but no, they didn't trust vampires. At least Cici here was naive enough to hire her, unable to read her mind and figure out her plans. Isabelle grinned, the eldest would go first, she just needed a way to get to her... Hex her drink or something to make her ill... Yes, that would work. Isabelle firmly blocked her mind, you never knew who was capable of reading thoughts. Just then, the door creaked open. Isabelle fluidly moved to the door in a split second, only to find herself facing...

Gabriella, on her way to talk the the nurse...who happened to be Isabelle. "Uh, hi," she said, a bit nervously. Then her strong sense of smell detected that Isabelle was a vampire. Perhaps this would be easier than she expected. "I was wondering if I could borrow some human blood," Gabriella said. She didn't really trust the nurse, but her tone was filled with sweetness. When Isabelle looked at her questioningly, Gabriella sighed. "Yes, I know you're a vampire, so am I."

"Oh, certainly." Isabelle said, using the tone she reserved exclusively for when around students and Cici. It sounded nice and kind, but if you were really paying attention, you could tell it was slightly strained. She walked over to a box she had enchanted to keep several pints of blood cold, and pulled out two. "You've allowed yourself to get too thirsty, child." Isabelle commented upon her return, handing Gabriella a pint and opening the other for herself. A quick glance at her mind told Isabelle this girl wasn't telepathic. She took a long sip from her pint, while flicking her wand to lock the door.

Ah, it was O negative, from an old male muggle. He was hearty, healthy as a horse. It had the robust flavor that pointed toward someone with a more "manly" profession, like a lumberjack. Of course, it didn't taste as good as a woman's, nor that of a witch. Those of magical blood tasted twice as good, but Isabelle had to settle for muggle, it was the best she could do. The easiest to cover up, since muggles thought vampires to be legend. "I want you in here once a week to drink a pint. Understand?" Isabelle said.

The nurse's voice seemed strained to Gabriella, but she drained the pint without a second thought. Then she heard what Isabelle was saying. "Once a week?" she sputtered. "But the book said I only needed blood every couple of months to survive!"

"Good Lord, child! Maybe if you were living in the nineteenth century, it's been a long while since then. Once a week is the best. You don't want to go into Blood Lust, or Blood Illness." Isabelle said fervently. She finished off her pint and made the empty containers disappear.

Slowly, very slowly, Gabriella nodded. "Alright, I will come in once a week," she said, sounding definitive. For the first time since before she had the pint, she inhaled deeply. She could smell people from all over the castle now and she was filled with a sudden desire to rip them apart and drink their blood. Gabriella shuddered, but the feeling passed.

"You're new at this?" Isabelle said, only it didn't really sound like a question, more like a statement of fact, like; "It's cloudy outside today". She noticed that flash in her eyes, she knew it all too well. Of course, it only lingered a moment, and only in newer vampires.

"Yes," Gabriella said, taking another deep breath to control herself. "I was Turned in April. Hasn't even been a year yet. Seems like a lifetime since then." Gabriella realized that she was spilling a lot to this person that she hardly knew. Her mouth closed and she waited for a response.

Isabelle nodded, concealing her shock very well. Most new vampires couldn't control their urges at this phase. Perhaps she's already killed someone. Then maybe I might have her on my side... Isabelle thought, mind firmly cemented. "A good accomplishment, you have control." she said.

"Thank you," Gabriella replied curtly. "It wasn't easy at first. I've come to find that running at night helps a lot." Gabriella swallowed once, noticing the gleam in the other vampire's eyes. She didn't quite trust her.

Isabelle gave Gabriella a smile, her unnaturally white teeth glinting briefly before they vanished once again beneath her lips. "Now, if there's anything else that you need, anything at all, you can come to me, all right?" said Isabelle kindly. She hated being like this, but she needed that girl on her side...

Gabriella smiled in return. An offer of kindness was usually a good sign. "Thank you," she replied. Gabriella had looked away from the nurse's eyes and didn't notice the almost-desperate look in them. The words were nice and Gabriella was starting to think that maybe she had imagined the bitterness. She turned to leave.

"See you in a week, Miss Weasley." Isabelle said in the same kind tone. She used her Telekinesis to open the door for the young vampire. Her brain began to furiously work on ideas to get Gabriella on her side, she would be crucial.

"Goodbye," Gabriella said, walking out the opened door. Her own telekinesis closed in behind her and she walked down the hallways, still puzzled by the encounter. She felt much better, however, and so she supposed Isabelle had to be good.

Isabelle collapsed onto a bed. If she had to keep that act up for another second her head might just explode. She amused herself with a mental image of that for a moment. She gave a small smirk to herself and then picked up her cat. "All in due time, Otto. All in due time." she said very quietly, stroking the fur atop his head.
